Went out tonight for the first time and ran a 13.6 at 107mph. The car is a rather stock (SLP Lid, P&P TB, PRO 5.0) 99 WS6 6 speed. Im using GS-D3s out back. My 60 foot was ranging from 2.1-2.3

Does my car have a 12 in it?

107mph is good for 12's for sure. Looks like you could use getting out of the hole better. 2.1-2.3 60fts, shows you're doing some spinning.

Yeah Im gonna have to do something about that launch. And my breaks. I found out last night that the car shakes quite a bit at those 100+mph braking sessions.

I might sound like im pushing my luck but I wanna hit 12's with as little mods as possible. I dont even know if my SLP lid and P&P throttle body made an actual difference. I wanna high 12 with what i have now. If thats even doable.

its doable ....get drag radials and launch the thing like you hate it ! but then bye bye 10 bolt .....i went 12.9 at 109 with a dr stock exhaust in great air ....

The shaking at high speeds when breaking means that your front rotors are warped.... Either get them cut or replace them...

When i was on my Nitto street tires, (315/35) i put the psi to 25lbs. On the launch i was feathering it out at 3K RPMs. I was able to bet 1.9 60s..

You just need more practice.

Get yourself a nice drag radial for sure, something like a BFG. You'll see 12's if you drive it right. I dont think you'll get there on a GS-D3. Maybe look into a cut-out as well. Just get a cheap one not an electric one. You could deffinatly free up an easy 5-10 hp there for a good 20 bucks if you install it your self. Some other tips that might help you would be wieght reduction, you dont need to get hard core with it but pull the spare and jack with all the plastic garbage back there out of it. You can also pull the rear seat out and if you want to the passanger seat. A spare tire and jack is about 37lbs,rear seat leather leaving the seat belts in is 22lbs, thats 59 lbs right there. I think the passenger seat is good for 40lbs, all that together is close to 100lbs. And you can just take them out before you head up and throw them in when you get home cause there all real easy to do. Also air up your front tires to the MAX PSI that well help out your mph, just dont forget to set them back to normal on the way home.

Yeah im gonna be looking into new rotors/pads. Just hard to believe they are shot with 22K miles (the rotors and pads are still the factory pieces) Offtopic for a quick second but what do you guys recomend anyways as far as rotors and pads go?

Some zinc plated slotted rotors from ws6storeand hawk hps pads is what i switched to. work and look great. Not to expensive either. Just an option.

what RPM are you launching at? are you popping the clutch right at the green light or letting off slow and giving gas? I have WS6 and am launching at 2700 rpm.

your car can do a 12.9 your need to go get the driver mod though

Make sure you slip your clutch and dont just dump it.... You should be good for a 12.9-13.1 with that mph... It all depends on traction and shifts...

you probably got more MPH because you spun in the beginning, I went 12.98 with midlength headers w/o a tune. My 10 bolt lasted 2 1/2 years racing it 3 times a week

I didnt really do a serious launch, maybe 1500 or so and a quick slip on the clutch, no dumping.

Rev it up to around 3000 rpm and do a quick dump, it will spin a little bit but dont go WOT just hold it steady and as soon as the tires bite hammer it. Your 10 bolt will live this way and you will be able to keep the engine from bogging with a little wheel spin. This is what I do and my 10 bolt makes not noise at all, but I dont have sticky tires either. You can slip your clutch but that is very hard on your clutch and it will not last long at all.

Funny you say that about the clutch. I noticed after my two consecutive runs, the clutch was smelling pretty bad!
