Do any of you guys have experience using Nitto NT555RII's? They are supposedly the same compound as the NT555R's but with a stiffer reinforced construction.

personally no, but its tried and true by now. they make a very good street/autox/track tire. i wouldnt hesitate using them as a dedicated or multipurpose tire.

I use to run RRII on my Camaro . The tire did pretty well . Grips decent , wears fast ,

How would they compare to Toyo Proxy R888 in terms of grip and wear? I do some pretty aggressive driving for street, but nothing as harsh as road racing - so the tires last 100 times longer for me. The drag radial version of the 555's (555R) have been holding up very well under street use.

Haven't used the R888 , but have used the RA1. Not much difference between the two.

if all youre doing is street driving, then RIIs will do fine.

You might want to try out some Hankooks.

The R-S2 is a good tire as well if your looking to save a little.

I haven't had any experience with the Nittos though.

The R-S3 and R-S2 both seem to be incorrect sizes for my wheels. The RS-2 doesn't seem aggressive enough for me.
