Has anybody ever stored their vehicle while executing orders overseas? I have orders to Japan and will be storing a vehicle. Just curious how the process went and if it was a pain in the arse or not. Thanks.

It has all the information you need. I had my truck stored while I was in Korea. Just drop your vehicle off at your local VPC along with orders, etc. When I had orders back to the States, I emailed them my new orders and arranged a pickup date/location. I was very pleased with the whole process.

Is it true that they wont accept your car if it is dirty on the bottom or has any issues? It has a minor oil leak while idling and I read they wont accept it because of that also.

My truck was extremely clean when I dropped it off at the VPC so I can't really answer your question. In fact, the inspector was having a difficult time finding any damage (scratches, dings, etc) on the truck, lol. I wouldn't be too worried about how dirty your vehicle is unless you just took it offroad in the mud or something. Just wash the car and make sure the interior is clean and you should not have any problems. I don't know about the oil leak issue though. My advice would be to take care of it as much as possible. I don't think they would appreciate a puddle of oil under your car while it is stored in their warehouse.

One other thing....I was really impressed with the information on the whereismypov.com website. Just enter the information and it gives you an update on how your car is doing. They checked the oil every couple of weeks and even started the car at least 2 times a month. All this info will be shown on the website.
