In the market, for a car. I figure now is the best time to buy one and I really have my eye on the G8's. Im just wondering what everyone paid out for theirs, just trying to see how much I can get a new one for.

I guess it depends on the package. I hear people saying they got theirs with the prem/sport package for around $28k with rebates. I'm sure you are aware the longer you wait the harder its going to be to find exactly what you want.

back in feb/march you could get a loaded gt for under $27k. not sure where they are at today.

cool, that is the price Ive been wanting to put towards one. Just been too busy to go look at them. Also loaded would be the best choice.

G8 and not GT or GXP?

The 6s have been going cheaper than the GTs and if they still have a 08' even cheaper I imagine.

Ive seen a few used low miles G8 Gt's in the mid 20's. A few with less then 10thousand miles. Ive seen new ones going for $34k, well atleast at some dealerships here then the GXP's at $40k.

Might be seeing me around the LS1tech boards again as I've been sniffing around at a new G8 GT. Right now, I am in negotiations with a dealer and am trying to locate a Skylar Blue model.

With a 09 GT with premium and sports package - the MSRP was just over $34k.

Working with the General Manager (who is best friends with my long time boss) - I've been told I was getting the invoice price minus even the kickback from GM for the sale and am being offered the car at his cost due to our companies long standing business with his dealership. That made my OTD price (with MD tax, tags, title, etc) at just over $31K after rebates.

Don't know how legit his numbers are but my boss and the other exec's have dealt with this guy for a while and say he's a good guy. I still think there is room but who knows.

I guess if he can find the car I want and we can work on the numbers - I might have a new introduction post in the works.

Earlier this year, the sport/premium could be bought for $27K. Now it seems that $28K is the typical "good" price. They quit building these in December, so don't expect any new inventory to show up at your local dealers once they are gone.

Yeah, I am in the $28's by the time you back out the tax, title, registration, etc. I think it's a decent price and we are very close on what I am willing to do and where they are offering it.

Hardest part is getting the color I want. Nearest one is 170 miles away in NJ. They'd have to ship it down.

Thats where I got mine....

Only one Skylar Blue with premium, sport and sunroof is allowed in MD though and I got mine already :engarde:

No worries. Dealer said NJ guys wouldn't come up off of it for the price I needed anyhow. Tried to sell me the dark red one on his showroom at a better price but I declined. I like it - just not as much as the blue so I am not going to hit the bank on any car but the exact one I want.

Might give it til the spring and see if I can pick up a gently used on at a great price.

I was $29 OTD for a 09 PSM G8 GT with Premium/Sport and Sunroof in June.

I just went on the Pontiac website a day or so ago, put in my zip (77396) and what car i wanted (GXP) and it spit out $33k! I think that's great for that car! I'm so tempted to get one. I have the 2010 Camaro on order, but am gonna have to be more practical since I have a family and the other car in the the stable is my wife's tiny Lexus IS350.
