Went to US131 motorsports park in Martin, MI on wednesday for test and tune. Finally got to the track after rebuilding the engine and adding the Tsunami/PRC215 combo. rest of the mods are in the sig.

first pass i pulled off a 12.60@110mph  car felt slow for sure. after some trouble shooting i found a plug wire that had come off, 7 cylinders FTW.

next pass i launched off of 2000rpm, i dont have a scanner so:

1.73 - 60ft
4.87 - 330ft
6.99 - ET @ 594ft
7.46 - 1/8 ET
95.68 - 1/8 MPH
9.70 - 1000'
108.55 - 1000' MPH
11.62 - 1/4 ET
117.90 - 1/4 MPH

the DA for the run was 1720

my 3rd and final pass was almost identical, i launched off 2500rpm but lost .02 in the 60ft and .03 in the 1/4.

my race weight is 3410lbs, car has 3.42 gears and a TH400 transmission with a Fuddle 4000 converter. I was expecting a little more and probably would of went faster in better DA but it still feels like either the gears or converter are holding me back.

I think I would look at putting more gear and a converter swap. Also, if you can get a little weight out of it, it would help quite a bit. Get the short times down and you will be in good shape. The care definitely has potential and should be in the 10's with a couple changes to the setup. I would say you have a very good start!

What all is done to the car?

i swaped out the rearend for a friends old rear, i got rid of a 135k mile 2.73 rear end in favor of a very very cheap 90k mile 3.42 rear end.

im thinking of getting 3.73's with my 26" tires and wondering what stall speed i should go for with this combo, i dont know if 4000 is optimal and if the fuddle is really working that great anyway. the car is driven on the street occasionally, its meant to go fast.

like in the sig under 98' formula the car has an SLP lid, K&N filter, sealed ram air kit to the WS6 hood, ported stock throttle body, ls6 intake, tsunami cam/ prc215 heads, Edlebrock stepped headers (1 3/4 to 1 7/8 into 3.5 merge) 3" duals into flowmaster 1 chambers. underdrive pulley. AC removed, PS removed, front swaybar removed, front bumper supper + windshield wiper resivoir removed. Centerline convo pro drag wheels and skinnies, QA1 12 way adjustables in front with 275lb springs, stock rear springs with competition engineering 3 ways adjustables.

im probably leaving some out.

Trap seems slow for that setup and weight, even with the less than stellar DA. Do you have SAE dyno numbers?

I agree I ran 115mph in 3800 da with a 3700lb raceweight. I have non ported 243's and a 224 cam. I would look at the tune or the converter like you said.

i think my gears are holding back my 60ft a bit and my converter is slipping too much, i want to say i was going through the traps around 6100rpm and 117-118mph, and with my gears i want to say it was like 13% slip or so when i calculated it.

and yes the car made 405rwhp SAE, unlocked of course
