Convertible Vehicles - anyway to get tops really black?

My car is a really dark black. So much so that it makes my new black top look faded. Has anyone every successfully darkened their top? If so what methods do you go about to do it?

If your top is new I would not fool with it, you will mess up the water proofing chemicals, IMHO. Put it down, LOL

the top is a matte black your car is a gloss black.... that is the differance.. your never get it to look like your paint..

RaggTopp always makes my top look blacker, that's
how I judge whether it's time to redo it (start to see
it lighten up).
