Why would the HP/chassis be any different in a vert from a hard top? The roof of a car does not provide much support/structural integrity.

?????? all verts must be re enforced when the roof is removed.

But to answer the question most guys will run the same hp and #'s a fix roof will but good supporting mods such as STB, TA arm, sub frame connectors etc. are more a must imo. Far as track #'s you'll be need'n a roll bar much sooner.lol.

I can feel my whole car twist when I leave on slicks. As far as the original question goes, my guess for the most hp in a vert would be like 1,000,000,000 hp....all motor

i do know that the roof of a hardtop even though its not steel does add to the integrity of the car i can feel my vert flex under hard acceleration i have a cage and i can hear the pins in the door openings bind thats really what i wanted to know is alot of power unheard of in a vert thanks guys

Ladder bracing the unibody is the best thing you can do to a vert (or any car) from what I recall reading, better that X-bracing.

I think it usually is, but I like defying expectations... I'm working on being one of those freakishly fast vert guys. I don't think I'm going to get a cage till I feel the need to get one. I probably will end up needing one though.
