Here's a few pics of my rollbar I'm installing.
I have 4 of the floor plates welded into the car and I'm just about finished with the trial fitment. I'm trying to find out far away your helmet needs to be from the main hoop to be NHRA legal. Right now I'm at about 3-1/2" from where I want to place the main hoop.

LOL,,,, yeah. I cut off those extra pieces from the rear bars. Not really needed and it would have been two more plates to weld-in for them, plus more fitting headaches. I gave it another coat of rattle can black paint too.

No worries. I have lots of other work to do on the car before the weekend so it's no biggie. You had a championship to win! :)

Well I got the rollbar completely installed last week, but I just got around to uploading the finished pics. I've been making progress in other areas of the car also, including the new true-dual exhaust with an X-pipe that I welded up this last week. That poor welder I bought hasn't had a break since I got it lol.... First the SFC'c, then the rollbar, now the exhaust Haha.... :)

are those bolts on the side bars by the doors so you can take those bars out for cruising and the like? I've just never seen those with bolts on them before..

Yes, the side bars are called 'swingout door bars', meaning they are removable for street use. They're pretty common on 6 point rollbars.

It's actually more common than non swing out bars.
