Pontiac G8 2008-2009 - g8 gt and gxp mpgs

Was just wondering what kind of mpgs you guys are getting. On pontiac's site the gt is rated at 15 city 24 highway and the gxp is rated at 13 city 20 highway. Thanks

ThanksWith my EFI Live tune, I can cruise in 4 cylinder mode at 75mph, giving me right at 26mpg. The AFM gives a consistent 2mpg boost vs running on 8 cylinders.

We took a vacation from east texas to the mid west and back(33xx miles total) and averaged 25 mpg for the whole trip. The best Ive gotten was 28.3 according to the gauge. Car is stock but needs a tune.

mines tuned and i have messed with the AFM i have hit 30 many times on highway trips AVG'ing 60mph

at 65-70 mph avg 25-27.

spirited 90%city driving and i get 12.xx mpg

24-25 on the highway.

25-27mpg on the hwy but i average 18mpg under regular use.

Mine is only a GT with a tune and intake. I'm expecting to get 1-2 more mpg once I do the headers.

23 MPG on the highway is the best I can do in my M6 GXP so far. Bone stock.
I can see about 21 MPG tank to tank mostly highway driving.
City is more reflective of the factory rating.



My old Camaro would see 27 MPG without trying and 30 with being diligent on the highway.

On the 540 mile drive to LIVERNOIS with a 2.92 and an average speed of 70 I got 24.2 mpg. On the way home with a 3.27 diff and an average speed of 75 I got 22.8 mpg.

With spirited driving around town I get 14-15 mpg.

I've gotten 24 mpg highway in the GXP. Mixed around town/highway sees 18-20 depending on if I'm driving or the wife. :D The car is completely stock with 3k miles.

This is so much better than the TBSS we had that got a best of 18 mpg and 15 mixed.

lady drives the gt in town to 19 mpg. i cruise to 60 at 26 or more.
