Well I took the LS1 powered datsun out on wed to cayuga for the first time since last fall and it was a good outting.
first run right after tech check in was a 12.36@116 with a 2.0 60' time:zzz:
hot lapped and ran 12.31 @116.9!
I finally was able to cut a 1.85 60' but was so low on fuel that my pump was sucking air and the car stumbled HUGE top end in 1st and 2nd gears :( still went 12.5 on those runs lol
anywho just thought I'd share. Only difference was a FAST 90/90 over last year and new CV axles. I need more fuel and to heat up the DR's and its got 11's written all over it!

Thanks guys.
Yes I was there last wednesday night. :) I was chatting with a few 'vette guys who were there in the lines with me.
Next time you see the car stop and take a look or say hi.
I was there supporting that black third gen TPI powered car running 12.8 which blew my mind being TPI and a full weight car and all. I built the 8.8 in it
Your car looks very very clean man. I also noticed a super clean early 80's Jetta there. Not my kind of car but I was impressed at the resto work on it.
Anyways yeah man next time I see that car out I'll come say howdy for sure

I was there last Wed. too but on the road course. How does the Datsun handle? You should try some laps with corners. Looks like a nice ride. I'm trying to make it this wed., maybe I'll see you there.

It handles pretty well all in all, I have a set of R compounds that I'd need to install on my street rims in order to do well as my sumitomo's handle about as well as hockey pucks, lol.
If I'm on good behaviour I'll try to make it out this Wed as well. 50/50 at best though due to my wife going on holiday's this weekend.

Haha, I'm running on hockey pucks as well. Still loads of fun, though. Great practice before I take the plunge into rcomp territory.
