Stereo & Electronics - Power UNLOCK works.. Power LOCK doesnt???

Hey guys got a 00 camaro and have had this problem for a long time but just now have time to try andfix it.. whats happening is the keyless and door panel switches for UNLOCK works but neither the keyless entry or door panel switches for lock work it just gives 3 beeps and doesnt do anything.. is there a solenoid gone bad or an electrical problem? it seems like it picks up the signal but doesnt lock it..

switch might be bad, i had the same problem with the passengers window switch it gose down dosnt go up, after pulling out the switch i found out that it was broken for the inside.

Does it do this when the key is in the ignition?
Lockout Prevention
To protect you from locking your keys in the vehicle,
this feature stops the power door locks from locking
when the keys are in the ignition and a door is open.

nah its not the lockout prevention.. ill pull the door panel and look at the switch itself and hopefully thats it and not the actuator... let ya kno

What gives 3 beeps? The horn?

When I had this issue, mine would act like it locked. It would arm the alarm and everything but not always actually lock the doors. Ended up being one of the lock relays in the BCM. Wasn't sure which relay it was exactly, so I bought a cheap used BCM for 10 bucks from a member here and put its relays in mine. Problem has been fixed ever since.
