Stereo & Electronics - Stock CD player is eating disks and blinking ERR

Started doing this the other day. I put a CD in it started blinking ERR every 3-4 seconds and it didnt want to eject the disk.. It eventually came out after 2 days of pressing eject. Tried it again and it did the same. Even when the CD is out.. The radio still blinks ERR every few seconds. Whats going on>

mine did this in my 05 2500. it was toast. i think it took me 4 days to get the cd out.
picked up another stock unit and got it programmed.
been working good so far.
