I recently bought an LS7 440ci shortblock from AMS and with only 700miles, no passes or racing on it....just break in driving a cam bearing fucked up and the rod and main bearings too, and you know what they have to say about it. That it must have been tuned too rich and that in turn would make the oil a non lubricating substance so therefore they would not cover it WTF do you know how much fuel I would have had to have been dumping in there to do that? And I do have an A/F gauge which never went below 12:1 and stayed in the 14:1 area....I dont think that is too rich. They talk to me just because im a girl like I know absolutely nothing about cars....they are ignorant "after" the sale. Nice as could be when they are taking your money though that is for sure but talk down on you when you have a problem. They can't admit that maybe they made a mistake...maybe the block was bad from the factory. I also noticed that they REUSED the main cap side bolts and just sealed old ones with RTV...you pay that much for a shortblock and you get used parts??? Think twice before you buy a shortblock from them!! Spend the money and go with a good welll reputable shop NOT AMS RACING!!
