ya about two days ago i was passing a couple cars on the highway, next thing ya know the car backfired about 3 times and now its missing really bad. anyone have any thoughts on what went wrong?

Do u have any check lights on? whens the last time u changed ur fuel filter? How may miles on ur car?

Shit so your broke down too lol. Maybe a bad coil pack or plug/wire would be my guess?

it has 53000 or so miles. ya mine broke too lol my buddy brought his scantool up and it read multipal misfires on the left bank. i always have an SES light cause of no cats, but it started blinking once it backfired. i dont really think its anything too serious but its an annoying hassle

Get the codes read. Could be a few different things from a o2 sensor to a lose wire to a hole in the piston to a broken rocker... you need to do some investigating.
