Pontiac GTO 2004-2006 - Longer Wheel Studs?

Ok, are there any options worth talking about aside from ARP? Thats not cheap if you wanna replace all 20.

They weren't that bad from summitracing.com for the rears. I think it was $13 for each side. ARP-100-7708 that's the part number. The fronts are a liitle more but not to much. IMO

the fronts are a lot more. they'll set you back $72. the only ones that fit are ARP 100-7717 for an EVO. those fronts are hugely long but you will probably need to cut both the fronts and the backs. strangely the stock GTO studs for the front and the back are also two different lengths with the backs being shorter. IMHO the backs are well worth replacing both because the stock ones are short and are soft not to mention they aren't too expensive either. i've done all four wheels as besides that i have 5mm wheel spacers on all four wheels, the backs to adjust for the widened wheels and the fronts to give me more camber.

No plans on cutting them, just sounds like a bad idea to me.

Yes, keep in mind that the front studs have a different diameter for the press fit portion. I went to the dealership and picked up a stock front and rear stud for measurement before ordering the studs.

i'm not sure why you think it's a bad idea to cut them to the proper length. it wasn't a problem. if you don't they'll be sticking out an inch past the nut.

you could have called ARP or just looked on the forums for the right part number. the fronts do have an unusual .565" knurl and the EVO is the only one that fits albeit the 3" length that needs cutting

I don't like cutting them for two reasons...

1.) It CAN be done without screwing up the threads, but that doesn't happen often

2.) The reason they're required to pass tech is because they're longer.....cutting them defeats the purpose
