Dyno & Bench Racing Forum - My SS vs 05 stang GT, who will win?

Hi everyone

The other day my friend purchase 05 MUSTANG GT from USA and i've seen it drive it but i feel its not powerful as my ride

and now he installing it with long tube headers & X-Pipe (it has BORLA muffler and tips from the start)

he want's me to race him :nod: ,so what u guys thing? who will win? since my car is stock with only K&N FILTER ,i took the HOOSIER tires out

It'll be close with him having full exhaust and you being bone stock. I'll give you the edge though.

THis is a tough one....mostly because he just bought the car.

Personally, I would NOT do LT's in that car at this point. I'd do a CAI, tune, midpipe and race you. LT's will help, but for the $$$ I wouldn't. I'm thinking this will be an extremely close race with teh edge going to the S197 with those mods assuming he can get some seat time in.

BTW - How do you guys get tuning done over there? Mail order with datalogging or?

05 GTs are slow as shit. I have yet to c one at the track run in the 14s with bolt ons

he just want to race me and im ready for it,its ok if he pass but i will not give him the chance

tuning is done in near by countries like dubai and other gulf countries,plus sometime they give the info to USA tunners and the program according to the mods then send the program (tune) in cd to our country
