I've been on here for about two weeks, roughly. I've been accumulating posts throughout this time. Now as of last night, I had 51 posts. I get on this morning and I have 39 posts? What gives? These were all posts in the tech sections.

I have asked pertinent questions, I have given technical advice, and I am a contributing member.

I understand your policy about the 50 post thing to sell in the classifieds, so to reduce the spammers and scammers. But I think you'll find that they are not going to take the time to get to 50 posts. But I am starting to get frustrated.

I checked the sites FAQ's and found nothing about having your post count reduced.

my best guess is threads got deleted, therefore your posts as well.

The main point of this site isn't to help people to sell things though. If you really need something sold there are a multitude of other places to do so

Your absolutely right. I do not disagree. However, my point was that I am trying to be an active member who is trying to be a positive addition to the site. I do have some things to sell, as I just got a 2000 Trans Am (2 weeks ago) and am already changing things. And yes, I could (and have) use other places to sell things, but this is a good place since we all are in the same category. Not to mention I have found a multitude of answers to my own tech questions. I'm not bashing the site or anything like that, but I feel as though I had met the rules (50 post count) and then had the rug swept from under me without any explanation. If your going to reduce my post count, then at least send me a PM and tell me why... would't that be fair?

To be honest, this is simply a matter of courtesy. I can easily get back to (and way past) the 50 post count thing.... wait a few more days to sell anything on this site. I've already had some dealings with others on here and even have positive feedback. Heck, if the mods wanna check up on me they can simply ask one of the site sponsors... G-Force. They all know me and know I am a standup guy who is not new cars, just LS1's.

Well welcome aboard, i'm sure you'll be at 50 in no time. Threads probably were just removed or something, I doubt someone specifically reduced your post count. And if they did hopefully they'll post up. This really is a great site

As far as I know, no one reduced your count, and if they did, you almost certainly would have got a PM. Threads were just deleted by the OP, or moved to the graveyard by staff.

Yea if somebody deletes a thread it will erase all your posts in a thread. It sucks but that's the way it goes sometimes. Like Sharpe said if a mod lowered it, you should have gotten a pm about it. The "graveyard" part I have no idea about since I'm not a mod. I'm guessing it's threads that are duplicated a million times. Welcome aboard and post your location in your bio to help out when you try to sell stuff on here.

There is a "Removed & Locked" forum that only mods/admin have visibility
too. It's the graveyard for all threads that are locked, moved, deleted, etc. :secret2:
Moving threads won't reduce post count. Deleting them will. BTW...mods can't
reduce post count by simply changing it...only admin can. A mod would have to delete
a thread/post to reduce post count.

Got ya. That's about what I thought it was.
