WTF? $21,000 for that hood? Not unless it is made of titanium and has diamond hinges.

yep they look good but would never touch one after a read like that. Absolutly rediculous. Go spend an extra $20k and get a ZR1 and have a full warranty:D Granted i'm sure ZR1 specific parts aren't real cheap i'd venture to guess GM doesn't make you send them back if you need a repair

:werd: You pay $21K for the hood but you can't close it and still have huge gaps in it...it's not a completed hood!! :jest:

Yea thats some crazy pricing-But what car idiots-A slant six isnt a chevy engine. A straight six yes-slant no. Or am I the only one seeing that? Or were they talking about a bent 6(V)?

ZR1 front lip is $2500, less than KR's front lip.. and I bet the ZR1's got way more engineering and function to it.

You just know somewhere, some dumbass bought a 6 cylinder Mustang and then tried to go buy the Shelby hood.

After reading a little farther into this it's seriously pathetic how Ford is running their operations! I'm so glad i'm not stupid enough to buy an 80,000 mustang just for a name even if I was rich. Mustang "enthusiasts" are insane! Very disturbing read.

I think who ever spends that much money on a appearance package should have his balls removed. The damn front spoiler cost more than my engine lmao.

The fact of the matter is that you have no clue about Ford and how they are running their operation. They are (or at least they were) the 5th biggest company in the world. Are you telling me that you understand their operating plan based on an article? Give me a break already. Lord...the internet is full of idiocy sometimes.

Alright, I retract my statement and meant something like "its sad how Ford, Ford Racing, and Shelby is handling this customer." Shipping damaged goods and forcing the customer to return the sheet metal that he OWNS (by buying the car, no? Should they have said by buying this car "we" are still entitled to the sheet metal if in case you damage it?) is filthy. By no means did I claim to understand the whole of Ford dealings. By operations I meant how they give this particular person the "runaround".

How about, it is sad that Ford opted to partner back up with Shelby, given the company's fairly litigious history and near obessive compulsive need to control their parts. As the fifth largest company they should have either kicked his ass to the curb or beaten him in to line.

You must not understand how business works. Take a look at the profit
Ford just posted. Think big. "Controlling parts" is pretty a narrow
view.

Wow, the parts on the car are expensive... extra caution must be needed to drive one because of the high prices to repair it. :P
