Just putting this up since I dropped some time with practice and better rubber than street tires (Eagle F1's).
Last time at the track (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/12-second-club/940017-im-including-my-time-my-sig-posting-thread-so-you-know-im-not-poser.html) was over a year ago and this year I had the chance to get back to the track with some better tires. Also had some SFC's welded in as well the week prior.
Could definitely feel the difference in the launch with some traction.
Feeling was 100x better.
Actually pushed me into the seat for the first '60 or so instead of babying it to avoid spinning.
Details were about 80* on a pretty dry day.
Launching at about 2000 rpm and rolling into WOT.
My tuning is still crap, I was logging alot of knock retard b/c I keep making my sensors more sensitive instead of the other way around.
Final pass of the day was the fastest at 12.235 with a 1.8 60' which was pretty awesome considering.
I put in about 13 passes and my dad ran about 8.
First run at 11AM last run at 3:45PM, so the red car put in some good work that day.
Still got a ways to go, I really feel this combo has an 11 sec pass in it but it will be a while before I can find out.
I really need some time on a dyno to get the tune in line and all the bugs ironed out but by the time I do that I don't think E85 will be as abundant as it is now in the Midwest.
Good times regardless.
Damn this could get addicting.
Video below isn't the fastest time, but a good race regardless.
Guy in the other lane running an M6 with bolt-ons but no cam I think.
Cool guy, knew his stuff.
