i was trying to skip the 12s altogether and just go straight to 11s.
ported 241 heads milled .032
224r cam on a 112
volant
pacesetters and y no catback
street tune with hp tuners
42#inj
street tires 245/50/16 kumhos
super dissapointed, ran a 13.1 @ 109 with just headers and y no catback and a tune, this year i add the heads and cam and run a 12.8 @ 112 i was looking to trap at least 115. oh well, maybe next year. at least im finally in the 12 sec club been trying for a year

its a 6 speed car and if u ran faster than 112 with straight long tubes and thats it, im calling bs. my best 60' was a 2.1 thats what it was when i ran 109. i dont really expect to run 11s on street tires but only gaining 3mph is what really pissed me off

Sounds like there might be something in your tune, can you post the complete time slip. And one question, why no catback?? Is it possible at all, that your losing a couple horsepower due to lack of back pressure?

Get a drag radial and a better tune. Those times suck for what you have done.

with heads and cam...i'm sure running just through the y is fine, probably would even be alright with a stock motor.
dude, just get some tires that hook and try to get the 60' around a 1.95, then i promise you'll run a time you are happy with.

1.95 for what he has done, is still kinda shitty. Should be lower than that.

yes it is, but if he is like me with a stock 10 bolt and a t56...you can only push that 60 so far before the toothpick snaps.
what i noticed in my car that if i get at least 1.95, the car bogs down a lot less (almost not at all) and the whole first gear experience is a hell of a lot better, making the et much better.
it will vary cam to cam, but either way he needs to lower that 60.
before bogging is a problem, he needs sticky tires anyway.

ive not got dr's for that reason zach, affraid ill be towing it home lol. and at wot with no cat back im probably gaining hp. and i am def thinking my tune may be 1 thing holding me back, i may go for a straight hardcore tune and just live with it on the streets cause i only bring it out to race anyways. i figure the rear can handle 1.9s maybe even 1.8s but thats pushing it
