I have a situation that Im looking for some opinions on.

I have an LQ4 that will one day be a 402 or 408, but for now Im thinking I want to put LS3 or L92 heads on it with a matching intake. My main question is this, is there any problem with just going straight to the new FAST intake on the 6l with LS3 heads and just have 'too much' intake for the interim?? Any feedback is appreciated.

Putting the fast on there isnt going to hurt you. The heads still outflow the intake. Im almost in the same boat..I need an intake, but Im either going to run a ported LS3 or the FAST. Texas speed has them for $800 shipped. Stock LS3 intakes run around $200 on ebay then $300 for porting. SO for an extra $300 you are getting the better intake manifold that will accept a 102mm tb.

Ya, thats what Im sorta thinking too. Also, Im open to the idea of a rectangle port Edelbrock Pro-Flo XT if one ever comes out. Im just sorta thinking since the 6L is on the stand, a H/C/I would be pretty easy to do to it. I got a 4.8L in the car and its good enough until the 6L is ready.

The one thing that Im aware of that sorta concerns me is putting a huge 102mm TB on a smaller motor like the 6L. But they that car will be driven is with that big TB blade laying flat anyways. ;)

Do it, you'll perform better. The stock TB's on all these engines are too small to begin with. It can only help.

Your heads are begging for more air to give to the engine.

Stock cubes totally overwhelm the stock top ends.

What makes you think that the ported L76 is better than the fast?

???Where does it say that??? Says pretty clear that for $300 more you get the better intake, Meaning the Fast.

I think he just misinterepted what you said formula thats all.

Im thinking Im gonna get me some L92 heads and a FAST 102/102 for the 6L and have a bit of over kill for the time being.
