The big event at Cville is right around the corner and I was wondering where is everyone "KK Performance" Chris, Shane,Able, Jolee, Robby, MERV? who is all going and what times do you expect to be running.

I was debating my self but I don't have a hotel or a babysitter for the weekend and I know all my wife can't handle a full weekend of racing.

well there is another thread of me and some local fellas that are just heading up there for Sat. Most of the events go down on Sat anyway.

Ill be there but i wont be racing just watching!

I'll be there.... Hopefully running 8.75 or a lil better... Heard rumors that Greg might have his car going.. And John from dyno changed gears in his car so he could start running 1000ft and should be there

i'm trying to get 2 cars ready by next weekend, and still need to order some parts for mine, not going to be as fast as i was maybe some mid 9's if its ready

Well I got me a new car yesterday but will not take it to the shoot out since I am not that familiar with the set up and I am just learning the carso I will take the old camaro also looking for some mid to high 8's. here is pic of my new toy ( the one on the left)

My new car has a big cubed forged motor built for n20 currently it has a cold fusion 92mm plate kit.
powerglide tranny proratchet shifter
rear end 12bolt 4.11 spool narrowed 3 inches on each side.
most of the suspension is madman

Where is centerville. Is it Centerville off of HWY 90 in Louisiana or somewhere else. If so where is the track and when will they be racing.

I am saving it for next year I am in the process of fixing some apperance mods like replacing and repainting the bumper, fender since they have cracks & making some changes to the exhaust set up I cant tell or it would be no fun but is faster than my old car :D

does Shahan still run at Centerville at all? There was him and a guy names John(can't remember the last name) who had a white 57 that were tough back in the mid 90's on the street. Also Stacy and Tracy Holder(I think) twins who played around quite a bit. One was a Chebby guy and the other had a Mopar with a big motor in it. Had a blast when I used to live up there. Kinda miss it sometimes!!

they were all from Jacksonville anyway. Didn't think about you guys not living right in that area. Bobby's 69 Chevelle was a bad street car even back then. Always had a full interior, had a Reher Morrison motor(bad for it's day) His buddy John worked at the Chevrolet dealer in Jacksonville, one of the Holder twins was an outstanding bodyman and painter, the other a fairly good mechanic who work for a ford dealership in Lonoke I think. It's been a long time though. Shoot, I've been back in Pensacola for 12 years now. Only been back up that way a few times since too for some flight sim time.

Well guys it doesn't look like I am going to make it. I sold trans and diff out of my car. To low of rear gear for new setup for turbos. I did manage a few good passes at Prescott the weekend before last on low boost 9psi. I will either be there or going to LSX shootout. Good luck guys if I don't make it.

As far as I know Abel talked about going to LSX shootout, Kris hurt his motor at last EFI race. Abel wanted to turn the boost up a little so don't know. I may have found a trans and stuff out of Springfield. Don't count me out yet.

As for the 2step Rob haven't tried it yet.

Hell that's lightning mph lol... Jolee... Shane put a auto in there and it will fly... Sticks and turbos don't work unless ur 1/4 mile racing... And auto probably still faster...

i know thats what i'm saying, the lightning would range from 127-132 mph, i'm going to overnight some parts and try to get my fuel system and tune done in time, and also try and figure out why it keeps eating and throwing belts:bang:

It's a mod motor... Check alt and tensioner... Lol over nite parts from japan lol tell them "Dom" sent u... Ha ha ha

the supercharger looks like it is shimmed out a little to far so i'm going to try and shim it in some and see if it helps

LOL I have no Idea what this car will run (driven by me) I def know what is capable of but I guess as long as I can stage it and make the 1 shift I am good so it should not be that bad. What you talking about low 8's to high 7's?:eyes: I wish.

I thought I was going to take the old car and had it completely ready but now that I am taking the new one I need to get it ready I need to change the spark plugs, and put in a new set M/T, clean it etc. I should be receiving some more goodies for the car to have it ready. If I don't get everything I am waiting for I will stick to plan A.

I have a laser alignment tool for lining up pulleys.

i may need to see if i can use it bc this thing is ticking me off:bang:, if all goes well tonight i will get the rest of my stuff on and get it tuned tomorrow

I can't wait to get a trans and diff that will hold up so I can turn it up and see what it will do.

you put the laser on the crank pulley and point it to the next pulley adjust accordingly.

Have fun guys. I am going to the LSX shootout. None of my cars will be there. Kinda glad. I am taking a break from the performance stuff after I finish this last build. It's not cool when you start to hate what you love to do. I am going to focus on MY car for a change. Looking for bottom 8's on MOTOR when it comes back out.

Don't know if you guys are interested or not but talking to Prescott about an EFI Race 1 time a month same night as the outlaws. Should be a lot of fun. There are a lot of LSX cars from texarkana there.

I ran at Prescott the other night a lot nicer track IMO than Centerville. Racers can pull up to the fence and watch racing when they aren't.

Sounds nice.... Have been planning on going down there but never have made it....

Prescott is nice, we went down there earlier this year and its a lot closer to Little Rock than most people think.

I got to run 4 times in my new car I had some serious traction problems the 1st 2 runs the problem (needed a bigger burnout) :lol: I can say I was very pleased with my runs the motor is built to handle 250 shot so needless to say I will up the shot an well did anybody get videos of my runs my children were asleep in the car and my wife only got the 1st (crappiest run) and the last one (best run) but she got exited and turned the camera away LOL.

here is the breakdown of the slips.

1st run was on a 75 shot off the line footbraking it to around 4k

Well Greg (blue stang) and me were the fastest car there but greg ran a 7.99 and eliminated me that run was freaking awesome.than the next round he had traction problems and lost to John from dyno perf and the finals were John and Andy Gray 2 mustangs in the finals but I did not stay to see it I bet it was freaking close they both were running 8.50's.

I ended up qualifing # 2 and taking RUNNER UP..

I had to run Greg in the semi's and was able to tree him a little,then he had to let up after getting out of shape on the cold damp track.....I just knew he was gonna pull past me ,but when he let up and I took the win ,I couldn't believe it!!!!
I felt soooo bad for Greg ....he had just ran a 7.99 the round before and was on a roll..

In the finals Andy Gray and myself paired up and I felt good thinking i had a little advantage with the tree and about a tenth on the track......
When the tree lit up my heart sank when all I heard was sputter....sputter....!!
My MSD got wet trying to hurry up and cool down between rounds and the rpm chips freaked out .....
So we took runner up....Andy got the big #1....congrats Andy !!!!!

We set some personal best with 1.37 sixty.....6.60 1/8.....8.58 1000'
all with some killer wheels WAY UP action....

Hey John, that sucks what happened!! Andy was dieing to get a run with that big pills so he tryd em again in the final round with you and well it ran three tenths slower.. the car went way lean and was sputtern all down the track but o well guess its time for more fuel... it was good racing for sure and the track was alot stickier than normal!!
