I was shooting for 450rwhp, would ditching the LS6 intake in favor for a ported LS2/90mm tb make the difference?

Ehh, you will probably want to spend the money you would pay for porting an LS2 intake elsewhere (FAST, or even a used FAST, or something comparable).

I said 430 as a conservative estimate, but also consider, even though you milled the heads, that's still close to stock LS1/LQ9 compression, bit it was probably a good move for squeezing out the NA power out of the LQ4.

So that's my reasoning, and mainly so you don't get your hopes too high.

So maybe 440 rwhp would be a better conservative estimate.

Thats what i was thinking, would rod bolts be worth doing before the engine goes in? i remember hearing something about the ARP rod studs weighing more then the factory TTY bolts? the engine wont ever be sprayed, just want to have it hold up.
