im going to be installing my msd 2 step today. According to the instructions with a manual I should use only the whtie/blue wire to the clutch switch wire (12 volts)...which wire is that? according to a wiring diagram I have, the clutch switch connector is a 4 wire. (brown/white, pink, gray, black/white)

the brown/white is cpp switch signal
the pink is ignition 1 voltage
the gray is cpp switch signal
the black is ground

so I'm guessing either the brown/white wire or gray???
where is everyone hooking theirs to that have a manual??

you sure you're looking at the right switch? There's two, one at the top (when the pedal is at rest) and one that's activated when you depress the pedal (at the bottom). The bottom should have only a pair of wires and you need to get signal from that ... just off the top of my head.

EDIT: didn't see you had a second thread on this, but looks like you got the answer there (http://www.ls1tech.com/forums/generation-iii-external-engine/1188534-installing-msd-2-step-2002-m6-trans-am-need-help.html); same thing I was referring to.
