Pontiac G8 2008-2009 - Stock 08 G8 Gt times inside!!!

The da was 500 at muncie dragway tonight. a friend of mine ran a 13.4 @ 107.9 2.0 60ft., in his bone stock gt. Stock tires and all!!.

Greatest part of it all, nobody will ever know. Cant really see a tune, bore, stroke, head work......etc. So, why not say its stock? No one knows but the wiser!!!!!!!!!!!

The car is BONE STOCK w/ NO TUNE lol.

Relax!!!!!! Your buddies G8 is just quick. Down here in Florida, were just running a bit slower because of humidity and temps! I believe you about your buddies time. Good weather pick things up, especially if barometer readings were high.

I own one. I know it won't run 108 MPH trap speeds even with a 500 ft D.A. 104-105 would be more believable. You sure your buddy isn't pulling your leg?

Being a G8GT owner myself I'd like to believe it however 26 on the back half?
That's even more telling than the 107.93 which is A6 GXP mph for 500 D/A .

Nothing wrong with the ET but stock G8GT's do not pick up 26 on the back half. They just don't. I wish they did.

Guys thats what it ran, Im sorry it's so hard to believe lol. He posted the time slip, I watched him run the time as well. It went 107+ more than once, it also went 106+ in the other lane. I know for a fact it's stock because he wanted to get a baseline before he started modding it. I also drove the car, it's bone stock lol. I agree the trap seems high, but that's what it ran, NO BS!!

ET looks fine. The trap looks unbelievably high.

Also, just food for thought, I've seen the trap speed timers be wrong sometimes in the past (stock LT1 trapping 89mph in the 1/8 but having the correct ET for example)

I ran a stock 09 G8 a few weeks ago at the track....he ran 13.6 @ 104. I also ran a G8 that was modded very similar to mine and he ran 13.17 @ 107. Very nice cars!!!

I'm inclined to believe this is the case. Everything matches up almost perfectly except the OP's friend's 1/4 trap speed, which, according to everyone I've spoken with, everything I've seen, and everything I've read, is just a solid 3-4 mph too fast.

Regardless, the 13.4 is awesome. These are some amazing cars.

Others have trapped 105mph so it's only 2mph quicker. But the 26mph back half is out of range but anything can happen and I am go to believe it.
