you def. do not need a rear end if that is what you are talking about.
as for street tires with a t56....ive seen a cammed car go 12.6, and i have seen a cammed car not do better than a 13.0.
btw, i dont know what tranny you have. will be easier with an auto to run 12s.
my examples were t56s....

My brother runs high 12's in his bolt-on/cam 98 formula T56 on street tires (275s). Stock rear end.

my car with just basic bolt ons headers, intake and tune, no cam or stall i did 12.8 at 109 on crappy general tires. its def possible, you just need to learn to launch the car. best of luck!

I looking for low 12's or high 11's on street tires, full bolt-ons and a t56, there's no reason you can't break into high twelves with a cam.

The stock rear can take more than most think.. a 1.9 60' won't hurt anything as long you don't shock the drivetrain. Vredestein tires.. although if I get frisky I might just slap on the nittos which shouldn't be a problem either. The black car in my sig although A4, cut a 1.59 60' pulling the fronts a few inches all on the completely stock rear end..

Hey, you and some others are my motivation:usa:

I picked up some nittos on 16's so those may get slapped on to make it ALOT easier lol

I have a 01 SS with a lid, mass air k&n and just cut the cats off and put a flowmaster on and it ran 8.33 with a 1.94 at 85 mhp in the 1/8 on street tires. witch should be like 12.5 or so I think.

Time and parts list in my sig. If you put a sticky tire on that car, be careful.

You are about 1 in 10000 on that one. You can't tell him he'll be alright because your car has a freak 10 bolt.
