hey i have a 04gto 5.7 its an a4 with long tubes a intake and a diablo preditor tuner im going to the track sunday and want to know what is the best way to tune it to get the most h/p out it and what are the pros and cons of de-screening the mass air flow sensor ?

I would set the diablosport to performance tune, 91 octane or if you have it available 93 octane. As for actually fine tuning it yourself you will need an air fuel meter to monitor your mixture.

As for the MAF screen. Leave the damn thing alone. You wont gain anything by taking it off and its not worth the time.

If you don't have a smooth air intake (CAI) installed do not remove the screen. The vehicle will not hold an idle. The screen smoothes the air over the sensors enabling the pcm to read...

I learned the hard way with another vehicle. Post installation of a CAI it's your choice. I can't specifically say what the volume increase would be.

Get a breather filter for the crankcase as well - free's up back pressure and increases pedal response.

yea i have access to 93 but what should i should i set my shift points to quick or slower firmer or softer ?

For your mods the Diablo is crap, they are only good for stock cars and even then they are nothing special.... If anything I would just use the Diablos 93 Oct tune....
