Some are blaming the Dana plant, but IIRC they make frames for others too (Dodge I think it was) and they aren't having any severe rust issues that I'm aware of. Correct me if I'm wrong.

I think they need to work on their quality control, IMO.

And this thread is about a American company contracted out by Toyota, to provide frames. If they fail, it looks like it could be cuz of an American company. I hope none of them fail personally.

Correct me if I'm wrong but wasn't it established last time with the Tacoma frames that Dana also makes frames for others as well, like Dodge or something? Yet they don't have rusting out frame issues? I may be wrong though.

That I don't know, that is weird that the Toyota's only would be rusting, you think it might be with some procedure requirement Toyota has in place that might screw with the coating sticking to the frame? I hope it was just one bad batch of quality control or something, new boss, new employee's on the assembly line and a couple quality control checks got overlooked?

I've also noticed this on a bunch of Tundra's I have worked on... All I have to say is Ha Ha Ha. Sick and tired of everyone praising Toyota... Everything is designed to break, People need to understand this! :bang: My Dodge has minimal surface rust on the frame and it used to be a plow truck  The body on the other hand... Thank god for fender flares on the front fenders! Bed isn't too bad though original paint too
