I'm curious, does anyone know where the 100 GMMG Berger Camaros are? About 4 years ago I drove up to Grand Rapids Mi. with my brother when he purchased #8,red w/black stripes,T-top,375h.p. Unfortunately my brother passed away 2 years ago and my neice has the car.Nothing was ever changed on the car but fluids. The car was originally sold to a guy up in the north east I believe and accoording to the salesman, the only reason he traded it back was to have the last year made(2002)It was also a GMMG car.My brother's car was signed under the hood by numerous people and there was a magazine article done on those cars using my brothers #8.If I remember correctly the photo shoot included pics of the car at the Michigan Int. Raceway.
We lived in Illinois, about 50 miles from LaHarpe,Il where Fred Gibb had his dealership. Our father was parts, mgr and salesman for a small Chevy/Olds dealership in Warsaw,Il so growing up in the 60's , we were very aware of what was going on at Gibbs. My dad knew most of the people that worked there, including Fred and his parts manager. We rode up to Gibbs a few days after those 1st copo Camaros were delivered in december 1968.They were awesome! My brother was friends with Fred's widow,Helen and attended some of her car shows and also brought his car back to Bergers for 1 or 2 of their shows.
Anyone having any info would really be appreciated!
Tim

What kind of info are you looking for?

Please tell me your niece is taking care of that car and not treating it like a regular Camaro.

It would be neat to have an updated pic thread and try to track down as many as possible

Okay..................I'll start it out...............my friend Brad owns "THE very first one". Brad owns Berger SS PR1 which is a 2000 Camaro.

Here are a couple of picures of it at car show that Brad and I attended together.:nod:

JD that's a nice car but I do know former Berger employee Dennis Barker owned a 1999 SS that was converted by GMMG in the very beginning when they got the original idea to do Berger Camaros to celebrate Berger's 75th anniv in 2000. His is the red one with white stripes doing the hole shot bouncing off the rev limiter on GMMG's website.

#1 - I beleive is owned by Pat Lewis and is in the Flyod Garret Museum. Its is also a Convertible.

#30 - I am assuming is also PR-2 . . . reason I say that is I know the owner, and #30 is engraved on the exhaust manifold? . . .

#57 - Going by my previous assumption, is this actually PR-3?

This car was on E-Bay spring 2009. I think it was sold in the spring. ??

I saw it on the 09 Power Tour & talked to the owner for a minute.

The car looked great & I added a photo on my web site under 2009 Power Tour.

I don't have pics or info on any of the cars you've listed. Of all the aftermarket Camaros, I saved the littlest information about the Berger SSes because they made so many of them. I do have a folder of cars I couldn't identify the # nor year of... but it'd take some expert knowledge to figure out if a single one of them is any on your MIA list.

Hot Rod Edition, ZL1, and Dick Harrell were more fun to track. If you want to do this for ZL1... I can help big time... for Dick Harrell, I would need some help. :judge:

Good info on the Berger cars Gents, but the most elusive GMMG car to track is the Earnhardt Intimidator. I own the #38 car and began tracking them early on only to find that they've changed hands many times. I do have a list of a number of original owners but it isn't complete.

Does anyone have a accurate list of Intimidaor owners? Please, no Ebay ads.

Thanks in advance for your help.

I've never tracked any of those. They all look alike, and in many for sale ads, they wouldn't mention the number, so I never tried to track them. :emb:

The Dick Herrell #8 is up here in Alaska. I have some pics. I'm not sure if it's the one your looking for or not. The owner also has a yellow ZL1 car but I havn't seen that one yet, and I can't remember what number it is.

The red harrell #8, phase III car ,and the yellow phase III Zl1, were originally owned by Larry, from Colorado.

Nice. He said he is friends with Larry. I wish I had a chance to talk to him more. I have a late model lsx group up here. He seemed in a hurry and I would really like to see the yellow car also. I never dreamed any of these cars would make it up here. I've read about them, but after seeing the DH car in person. Wow... They did an awsome job on the looks and performance of the cars.
