Paint & Body Work - Welding everything?

I'm tearing my 95 bird apart and noticed all the frame well, pretty much everything on these cars is spot welded, even the frame. You think there would be any advantaget to welding everything solid?

Only to make it stiff. Probably someones idea for a track car. Is there a cage in it?

No, no cage just figured while I got it all apart and stripped i'd weld everything solid.
