I've been selling a lot of my mass of items on here over the past months or so and have put together another load of parts for sale. I am consolidating parts and attempting to simplify my Formula build to get it on the road some time soon. I am also in the process of cleaning out my garage for a partial remodel and am in need of space. The less items in there the less I am going to have to move out of the garage once I start removing the wall, painting, and coating the floors. With that said I am open for trades. In building two cars I am in need of quite a few parts. I am semi negotiable on parts. Some things I want to get rid of and others not so much. Shoot me an offer and we can probably work something out.
Please do not send me an offer of $20 shipped on something I am selling for $20 and is going to cost me $25 to ship to you. It will effectively be a waste of both of our time. I live in Jacksonville Beach, Florida zip code 32250. It is listed in my user profile, but to put it in bold this time so hopefully people will read this and not send me a PM simply to ask me where I live.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
All of the interior parts came out of my 1993 Camaro Z28. The LT1 engine parts either came out of my 93 Z28 with 118k miles or a 96 Z28 that only had 36k miles. The stock LS1 parts came off of my 98 Formula.
All of the prices I have listed do not include the price of shipping or the 3% paypal likes to rape you on. All parts are sold as is. If you'd like any other pictures or have any questions post up or PM me and I'll get you what ever you'd like. I am also open to trades. I have two cars that I am building and need a ton of parts. Again we can work something out and I'm into helping people.
If the item is not listed under the last post that says, "SOLD ITEMS" it is still available. Please don't ask if something is still for sale when it is clearly listed. You will more than likely get a very sarcastic response or none at all.

I have this 6.0 L iron block that I received through a trade on some parts last year. I was told that it had a bolt broken off in the head. Upon receiving it I noticed that there was not a bolt broken off in the head any longer, but that it had been replaced by a helicoil. The bore is standard and no work has been done to it other than the head bolt. It includes the main caps.
I was planning on putting this in my 93, but have decided that I do not want to compromise on my original plan of using an LS3 block so this is up for sale. My Price = $200 / Localish pick up only. I will not ship this.

Hand ported 806 perimeter bolt castings. These heads have had a lot of work done to them. They have a stainless steel O ring in the chambers, been clearanced for 3/8ths pushrods, cut for 2.02 / 1.60 valves, cut for 1.550 diameter valve springs, have guide plates, and been hand ported. I do not know the size of the chambers, runners, or flow numbers. My Price = $350

The diameter and compression height for the Weiscos are right for my 383 LT1 w/6" rods, but are the valve reliefs?

^ They're 408 LS1 pistons.
All PMs have been replied to.

I understand they were originally meant for the 408 ls1. What makes them different from pistons one would use in the 383 lt1 though? Both bores are 4.03", The compression height is just below the 1.125" I would normally use, but that puts the static compression even closer to where I would like it. The pin diameter is the same. All that's left that I can think of are the valve reliefs...

^ They won't work. If you want to buy them anyways $262 shipped. Pm me for my paypal. Otherwise this conversation is pointless. Look up the formula for compression height and tell me the three variables you are missing.

It's not that the variables were missing, but rather they are integrated into the number in my post. Rod length: 6.00", deck height: 9.000", and stroke 3.75 (required to make an lt1 383ci) were all taken into account for in producing the 1.125" compression height I stated.
I was just curious if you knew WHY they won't work for my application. But if you don't know that's fine. I'll just have to take your word for it.

It is not my job to inform people about if something I have will work for their setup. If you don't know if it will you either need to figure it out or not buy them. I've wasted hours before typing out massive PMs to people and never have them buy anything even though they said they would. Someone on here recently said it best with, "Money talks and bullshit walks."
I could have very easily said yes, they will work, 262 shippped, my paypal is xyz. I didn't, I told you they won't work. Period, end of conversation.
Answer: Internally why is an ls1 408 different than an lt1 383? 4 inch stroke versus a 3.75. In the first line of the piston description it says, "Wiseco K396X3 -32cc dish pistons. These are for a 4.03 bore, 4 inch stroke, 6.125 rod, .927 pin, and have a 1.115 compression height." Externally the block dimensions are different. Lsx blocks use a 9.24 deck height versus the lt1s 9. If you used these pistons on a 6 inch rod and 3.75 stroke they would rattle and rock in the bores. If you did use them on a 4.03 bore / 4 inch stroke / 6.125 rod lt1 these pistons would stick out of the hole .24 . Good luck finding a head gasket that thick, running any cam above negative ptv clearance, finding correct length head bolts, etc...
There is your nearly half an hour answer typed on my phone even though you aren't buying them, wasting my time, and clearly trying to insult my intelligence. Now, I have to get up at 6am so thanks for wasting my time.

Finally, thank you for a more complete answer. Your intelligence was not meaningfully insulted, and if you felt that it was, you've apparently redeemed yourself of it. Hey, if I took everyone for their word without explanation and understanding I'd be a lemming without a running car or roof over my head.
You might see it as "wasting your time", but I see it as you helping a guy out by teaching a better understanding, which is exactly the kind of person I want to buy from. Besides it's not just me you're speaking to. All other potential buyers are watching too. Look at the sponsors on here and their responses to questions about their products.
You're the first seller I've run into that's ever had such a fit over something like this. I'll chalk it up to you having a bitter day. Hope your 6am day tomorrow turns out better though. I'll be getting up then as well for my own set of obligations.
Again, Thank you for a more complete answer to my question.
Good luck with the rest of your sales.
