Starting to consider selling my car and would like to get a few professional opinions on what the car should sell for.

Car had 58k miles on it when I began modding it so all parts are under 6000 miles. Very nice T/A. Compliments all day long.

No one likes to reply to these because the answer you want won't be gained here. I'm not going to offer a price either because it will hurt. You have a ton of $$$ in your car but as most everyone knows you RARELY get even a fraction of your money back with mods. You can read that in the 'sticky' as well. Very few 'regular' car buyers want a modded car like yours so you have lost that part of the buying public. Your potential buyer is going to be most likely a younger guy with limited funds which results in a low sale price. Tough sell but it just takes one buyer that wants exactly what you have done to your car. Be patient if you do sell and hopefully that certain buyer will come along.

Well, fair enough. I have played with several cars over the years and certainly understand, and have experienced, the results of the sale after the spend.

Mostly, I am trying to get a feel of how the current economic downturn has affected the already narrow market for this particular type of car. When things were looking up in the financial market, I likely would have priced my car in the $14-16,000 range, but given the current state of things I would expect that to move the car, I would need to be willing to accept ~ $9-12k, which I won't do. Basically, I was just seeking a bit of wisdom that would either bolster my thoughts or cause me to reconsider. I am somewhat interested in selling my T/A in order to switch direction in my "hobby plan" from cars to long range shooting and firearm collecting.

Your reply tells me that I should have explained my intent for this thread before presenting the question. Duh on me. I usually don't read in this section, however, I certainly understand your point in regard to people's potential disappointment when they ask a question that provide answers that, to them, can be discouraging or enraging.

Thanks

Well written. I think you have it thought out extremely well, and I hate to say it, but with the proper perspective on pricing. Best of luck with your endeavors!

I will be in the market soon, and i would be willing to pay 11k - 12k for it. And that is pushing it. No matter how you look at it, it is a 10 year old car with scratches and chips in the paint and N2O on it.

You would be better off parting it out if you needed the money that bad

That is pretty much what I expected for value. Incidentally, I do know what it is and its condition. You are correct if I needed money quick, parting it out would be the way. But since it will only bring that much, and I can't replace it for that, I will just keep it.
Thanks for the reply
