Do you like medicine? I was a 4NO51 ( NREMT-B). Loved it when I was in, and now that im out I make pretty good money. About twice as much as when i was in.

lol yea i know what a lot of ppl say about it, but it is a decent job (mainly if you get stationed at a base with a real hospital and not a superclinic) and has a good transitioning to the civilian world. I knew a lot of crew chiefs, maint, etc that crosstrained to my afsc. BUT i will agree with you I did come across a few flammin med techs throughout my time :barf:

plus you are significantly outnumbered by all the medhoes ( just remember to strap up)

where is your wife stationed?

Think about what you want to do when you get out and then go from there. The last thing you want to do is be a flightline boy and then decide to be a radiologist. But ya....medical is where the $$$$$$ is at in the civilian world dude, trust me.

I think you guys missed the no desk job/action part. Enlisted medical jobs = receptionist

I spent VERY little time at a desk... only desk job for medical is 4aOX1 (medical admin aka paper pushers). But yea your right about the action part, tacp is badass.

exactly!!!!! anything medical is where the cash is.. alot of the med techs are smart man.. go to tech school and be an x-ray tech and then get out and have so much money in the outside.. and with the economy so bad, do you think hospitals are gonna go with the young person with a bachelors degree with no actual experience, or a young person with the experience and certified to do the job and to step in right away?

i would rather take the mon-friday desk job, and be on LS1TECH all day long..:D
