A sonic blue 03 Cobra with 34,000 on the clock. Has a kenne bell 2.8, built motor, BUILT REAR, headers, etc, etc. Made 580 on 16#'s on pump gas and 712 on race gas. When it quits raining I'll post some pics.

I'll still hang out cause I'll always love the V but I've wanted an 03/04 since they came out and I wouldn't be happy until I got one.

I wanted SB or DSG and the SB came up first. Hopefully it'll quit tomorrow and I'll get some pics up.

Jerrad,
Good choice bro', not as classy, but definitely quicker, and hopefully less mechanical issues. Take that Bad Boy to the track, as I am sure you will impress.

Thanks man.
The guy I bought it from took it on the pump gas tune and ran a 11.3x at like 128. I'm sure once I grow a set I'll muster a 10 eventually. Track is an hour and a half away though :(

I was in the same situation when I bought the Caddie. I convinced myself that I'd be happy. I was but I still had the urge so I made the leap.

nice cars, but expect major money to go faster then the setup you have(even though thats pretty damn fast) as do most cars the 03/04 hit a brick wall when they enter the range you have but good luck. my main complaint about the 03/04 is the interior blows c***. the same basic interior as 94 and the worlds most uncomfortable seats int eh world, at least for someone who isnt 150lbs, the side boltsers suck. i think youll be happy with the speed, but youll miss that luxury comfort after a while because it will never be matched.

There are definately too many 4.6's running around in my area w/ exaust & subs that think they are hot shit. They'll rev at me in my honda and I always either look at them like they are stupid or if I can actually ask them if they are trying to race me and explain how insignifigant it would be to beat a 19 second honda. Then if their smug about it I ask them if they want to race my V8, when they asked me what it was and I told them a 98 Trans am they would just stare strait ahead knowingly silent but now when I say a V they always want to start a conversation. But that being said yours is cut from a different cloth and I'm sure there will be a few cocky LS guys like myself or my girlfriend (or deedub) that get our asses handed to us and go "Shit, why didn't I hear that whine before I revved at that guy!"

BTW Fords suck hermaphradite cocgina:supergay:

I think the car has the power/suspension to run a 9.99 on the race gas tune and an easy 10 on the current tune. That's plenty fast for me. lol

i actually should have reworded it, ur lucky that the guy who built it paid for mods, because to get past 11s is what costs the money, you figure for him to do that it costs him

built motor
kenne bell
fuel system
rear end

Oh yeah. I don't even want to think about part cost alone. The guy had HPP racing do all the work/tuning. They put out crazy cars and they are done right.

Congrats on the purchase. They are nice cars. Does your steering wheel appear to tilt towards the passenger side of the car? I knew a couple guys that had stangs and both of theirs did. After I pointed it out to them, they got pissed every time they looked at the interior of the car.

Here are a few pics I took today. I started to wash it but decided to just get the crap around the wheels/tires and go for a drive instead. Trying to decide what to do with the lips of the wheels. Thinking about going back to the polished lip or going back to the stock 03/04 wheels in chrome.

I sold my 1996 Cobra with Vortech SC and Griggs suspension for my 2004 V
I love that car, I had it for 9yrs. First new car I ever bought.
Wicked fast on open track events
But the clutch and suspension got too hard for my a$$
If I had/have a 3 car garage I would have keep it for track only.

Last year I thought of getting a 03/04 Cobra I like the indy rear on the 03/04
but the clutch...non hydo clutch just too hard for me now...
.....and my 9yr son probably wont not fit in the back seat....

$ for performance for the 03/04 Cobras are GREAT now......
BUT I think next car will be a 02-04 Z06....newer Z51 nice too....
no loan on my V, so having no car payments for past 4yrs super nice.....
just like to have no power, what's the ol' saying "too much is never enough..."

nice car....

BTW, I live in Allen, TX....ever been to Eagles Canyone Raceway --- it's a blast...

Looks good! I had 2 '03 Cobra's before getting the V. A black Vert and a white coupe. Had to get a 4-door. Man I miss them.

PS: That is not my plate. Belongs to the guy who purchased the car.

This one has a twin disc and is so much lighter that the other clutches I've felt in them. It's stiffer than the V but not as much as I thought it'd be. It's actually lighter than the stocker.

The rear wheel needs more lip imo. Something along the lines of what iforged wheels have.

I think the blue blurs the line that separates the ending of the wheel and the beginning of the sidewall. So your sidewalls actually look a lot taller than they are which messes with the stance from an aesthetics stand point.

Killer car though, and I bet it can get out of its own way pretty well!

The rear has about 1.5" of lip. If I had some $$$ I'd get some trueforged or some ccw's. :(
