User Support & Resources - anyone else having trouble loading pages?

For the last week or so, I've been having trouble loading pages in many of the sections in here, and even occasionally the main page itself. Most the time when it messes up, it will only show the ad banner up at the top and stop loading after that. I can hit refresh a few times and usually get it to revive eventually. However, I've noticed that 100% of the time it has trouble, the ad at the top is for 'Chevy truck month'. When the page finally does load correctly, its for another sponsor. Just wondering if those particular chevy truck month ads were glitching the system somehow

Did this start about 2 weeks ago? IB's added some things and there is/was a glitch. Probably has to do with that. It's being lined out now.

Yea, could have been in that timeframe. Its weird how the only ad that ever shows up when it hiccups like that is the chevy truck month ad. Thats what makes me think theres some sort of connection there.

I see that you guys have someone on it, but I'll chime in. The problem the O.P. described has happened to me a number of times lately. I can't recall when it started, but I know it's frequency has increased in the past 3 or 4 days. Good luck with the fix.

No problems with it today for me. Just to clarify, its not every time the chevy truck month ad pops up that causes the problem.. I've had the ad pop up and the pages load fine... But the chevy truck month ad is the only ad that is present when the glitch does occur.

:bang: Do they even know what the deal is on this yet? Just had to hit refresh like 12 times in a row to get past the truck ads for it to work right and load the main page. Its slightly annoying.
this glitch is really cutting into my tech lurking time

Does anyone have a screenshot of it by chance?
Sorry - I have been trying to get the ad to come up, and I can't :(

On any of the sub forums, or when trying to open a thread, I'll get this:

When going to the main page and the glitch occurs, it will load a bit more of the page, but still everything doesnt load:

I have been having this problem too.... It gets to a point then box pops up and says that "Internet Explorer can't load. Operation aborted." Which I have to click the "OK" button. This happens always with Chevy ads.

This won't fix the problem, but might help a couple of you guys if you're on firefox.
Adblock Plus (https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/1865)
You can filter out all the ads on a page. I can't say for sure if it'll work, but I have it, and haven't had the "can't load" problem.
