Cadillac CTS-V 2004-2009 - air bag light

i have read around alot on here but cant find anything on my problem. i have a 05 cts-v and i have a air bag light that comes on:bang:. Does anyone have any ideas what might cause that and how to fix it. Thanx

I just had this issue last week. It ended up being the rear c-pillar/airbag had come loose. I snapped it back in and the light has been off ever since.

^ps. I could hardly even tell it was loose just from looking at it.

did you just push it together or pull it apart? the light came on after bringing it to the track. funtimes

I first tried giving it a bit of a tug but was afraid of breaking something, so I just pressed it firmly against the c-pillar. Coincidently, I had the issue after running through a few gears here in town with the rear windows open. Apparently, these things like to shed the panels if one has too much speed with the windows down. Hopefully this will be an easy fix for ya.
