Chevrolet Camaro 1967-2002 - 3rd Gen Ls1 swap

My friend wants to do an ls1 swap to his 305 91 z28, but we are unsure what changes we needs to make to the car to make the swap happen, like will the ls1 bolt up to the 91's 5 speed?, what about the engine mounts?, or is just a headache we should avoid.

LS1 into a third gen is a great idea. Seen lots of them on this site (check the hybrid section), you will find all the answers.

Although it would bolt up, I don't think that 5 speed's gonna make it behind an LS1.

Get a T-56 6spd along with the LS1 from a donor car. That Tremec 5spd won't take the abuse from a 245hp L98 let alone a 350hp LS1
