Northwest Members - Who's got a solid running daily commuter LS1?

I have some spark plugs that I tried to do this before with but never got back any results from the people I sent them to. Looking to see if gas mileage improves with a set of WeaponX iridiums.
Dyno testing show a gain in the mid range of 5-8hp. Theoretically this should produce better gas mileage. I'm looking to prove it one way or the other. I need a car that runs good and gets the same mileage all the time. We'll swap plugs and see what you get. The we'll swap in a new set of NGK's and see what you get and lay this to rest.

Does a slight gain in the mid range actually translate to improved gas mileage ?

I think about half the guys on here dd there fbody.

i do but she was rebuilt about a year and a half ago. but she does about 205 miles a week. on a tank so about 16 miles a gallon on the street and probably 20 highway. but i got dubs to so that hurts mileage.

Dubs lol! Why?

We could try them out on our Tahoe. It's the 5.3l and we drive the wheels off that thing.

the poncho is my dd and i've found i get 24 mpg going to tacoma and about 16 in town. driving easily

rx7's my dd, but just put gas in when it needs it.

I drive mine everyday

Everyday here too. At least 26 miles and I get 19.5-20.2 on the commute.

i get about 30mpg on the highway, and about 18-22 in the city. that is super grandma driving lol.

Mines a DD and I drive about 60 miles a day. I get about 17 to 20 MPG on the freeway and that's driving 70 MPH, and trying to race anyone lol.:)

i DD mine, its an 02 big cam car. i get about 14 city and 25 hwy. i put about 230 to a tank every week. lemme know

i dd mine its a 402 decent cam good heads and 4.10's and if i baby it around town i get about 23-25 and on the highway i get around 33-35 at 80 or so
