LS4 Front-Drives 2005-2009 - Lighting questions

Do the daytime running lights use the same or a different bulb than the headlights. I want to get HID's. With HID will h have to remember to turn my lights to park when i drive so the running lights dont come on and fry the HID?

Also will 55w HID melt the light housing? I was thinking about using 55w HID in my fog lights and maybe highbeams too.

I have 55w HID fogs and low beams. No melting issues after a year.

For daytime running lights, just pull the fuse. Works for most.

GXP's are lucky enough not to have that fuse.
