Ok before people link to all the post on cam choices ect I searched and have been sifting through them for about an hr now. I have some questions that were left after reading the numerous post. This winter I am going to finish some of my mods that I am slowly buying to do one install and tune. I am not a total gear head so esp when it comes to internal parts. I am trying to find a decent mild cam that leaves room for a blower or N2O application. I would like to run a maggie next summer or in the future so I would like something that would not need changing out to a blower cam like in post I have seen. Is this even possible? also before that I am considering bottle feeding my baby with a 75hp shot to tide me over. can I run any cam with this or is there certian lift/duration that I should look for? basically I am wanting to do headers, cam, clutch, n20 this winter if I can find it cheap enough doing a FAST 90/90 and later adding a maggie and selling the FAST 90/90. I wish hendrix was running the special for a year because that would be a no brainer:nod:. Thanks for your help.:drive:

The LS6 cam is already a good cam for boost. Maybe change your valvesprings to Comp 918s. Another good mild cam that works well with FI systems is the LPE GT2-3. It has a decent idle and good driveability, but depending on your age and testosterone level, may be too mild sounding. :emb:
A lot of folks are more interested in sound than in actual performance so if you're really not sure, you should get Patrick G. to spec one (it's only $25).

You may also consider stopping by the forced induction and/or nitrous oxide section of this forum, as this question is not specific to CTS-Vs and you will get a lot more eyes there.

We ve a grind that we use in situations such as this with great results. Its a 224-228x 58x 0n a 113,wve had it for nos and went to the maggie and made 531 rwhp with a 112 and headers, when it was using a 100 shot of gas wth headers and a fast intake i ran 11.28 at 124.Give me a call and ill set something up for you.

ill have to stop by the forced induction and N2O spot.
I am wanting to stay at a mild sound. I was looking at around the 220 int./224 exh 112 lobe 0.530 int./0.534 exh. lift that maxspeed96ct is running. I need it to be drivable everyday and still get good highway miles ect. I just dont want to be switching the cam out in 6-9 months or so when I do something different.
I will be giving you guys a call in a week. all my money is spent just bought a house today so Ill have to re save up but ill def see what you guys can do for me.

You might pm patrickG (I think that's the screen name) He can get you a cam custom ground or he can recommend an off the shelf cam that fits your needs.
I have been doing tons of cam research within the past 6 or so months. Working towards getting my own specs ground. There is a lot that goes into a cam spec that the majority of people dont look into. Knowing exactly what your future mods WILL be, can only help whoever specs your cam. i.e.... fi, nitrous or both. With FI, you can shorten your duration and bring in your ECL to increase exhaust efficiency. This in turn would change your LSA and overlap creating a smoother idle. You wouldn't exactly want to do that with just nitrous or with both. See where im going. I am by far no expert. Just trying to help others out.
