Alright, here's some pics from what my car was. Too what it is now. With a change in between. It's been down a long time. I always say i'll get it back on the road one day. I've put up pics in the past. This just shows alot more of the process.

It was all done by myself, being the first time i've ever painted! I can hang with the best of them when it comes to mechanicals, paint was a whole nother experience. Now, i'm thinking about going back to Brown. It won't be anytime soon though! I am going to change it again though.

Enjoy!

Then I stripped it back down to a shell. This time completely gutting the car, which is actually the above pics of the car stripped. First time I didn't yank the motor, tranny, or rearend. I painted it Sequoia Green. A late 60's, early 70's GM color. Which this is the final product as well.

Man you have been busy. The brown was like a throwback to the 3rd gen brown and it looked good. The green looks awesome and almost grey at times. Props for a unique color that no one else has.

I like the creativity and it looks great. you are making it unique and that is cool, there will be nothing else on the road that will match it. how long did it take to paint like that? you paint in the garage? what product did you use?

I love the sound deadner. One of the best upgrades!

I wanted to be able to get in there to paint it all. Next time it's just getting masked off.

It really doesn't take long to paint. It took me forever because I didn't work on it everyday. Figure less than two weeks or so.

Everything was done in the garage. I would just cover stuff up.

The paint is Basf, Limco 1234. It's a mid to low paint. I think more mid is it is cleared. I've never painted and didn't want to spend a ton on more expensive paints. I was getting the base and reducer for under a buck fifty. It does have a high solids clear on it. Which is called Xtreme original KlearKote. which it is, to me a mid grade as well. It's under a buck fifty as well. This was all a learning experience to me. I think now that decent jobs can be done without having to buy thousand dollar gallons of paint. lol

Thanks everyone for the compliments! It makes it worth it in the end!

Awesome job! I love how the green looks gray at different angles. Where did you get the paint, I've never heard of it before and we are looking to paint the 69 in the garage and our budget sucks so it sounds like you this didn't cost an arm and a leg and looks amazing!

I really like the green you picked . It looks really classy and different from the more typical dark greens . I caqn certainly appreciate all the work . My 94 is down to assembly line shell and thats it , no rubber , glass or anything . Your thread motivates me . I totally agree on the sound deadener , its SOOOO worth the small amount of weight added on so many levels :)

Great job dude :pimp:
