Not sure of all the combos but I know for sure Micheal Meeks is nitrous combo so that is one of the them

Yeah, he goes by Waterproofer. He went a low 8 in quals, new combo.

the car went 8.82 @ 149 in time trials and i hurt the motor. i only did one pass to be #5 qualifer. just not going to hurt the motor more. sorry guys i'll be back next year.

by the way my cars are tuned for the heat! last race i ran in temp was 101 track temp was147 and the da was4600 here track temp was 66 and da was - 400 c ar went lean. and i cracked a ring.

i did added fuel before first pass
2nd pass went up 10 # on fuel jet first kit added 1/4 lb of fuel to 2nd kit car did better but still poped
3rd pass added more but it to late
. getting alittle smoke.
i am not hurting the motor

Did you change the timing any? Sure it wasn't detonation rather than lean? BTW, 8.8 is gettin it done, nice passes. Drag radials?

ATV(like alot of the big nitrous guys) has said numerous times the rules are turbo biast. if they don't fix the rules were not attending.... Hopefully this lack of partisipation will show them to fix the rules. I doubt it....
But if your looking for some help on a nitrous setup post in the nitrous section or shoot atv or myself a PM....

well i can understand that... i was pretty disapointed bc i didnt get to see the few cars i wanted to see run. and now i know why. the nmca finals was pretty good but it wasnt what i went there for.
Even though we were not anywhere near the top runners ( as last year ), we were planning on making the trek and running in Drag radial. The guys at LMR were all set to support us just like last year ( big thank to them too! ). The car is running really well in the exact same trim as last year. Just recently we ran really well in a local shootout by Pontiac Performance Mag. , Just running one kit, that was tuned back a bit..we rolled out a handful of 8.6 passes in 100degree heat. Then next night raced in an 1/8th mi series. Car has been sitting in the garage ready to go since.
Unfortunately a few things required my attention with my business that could not be put off or rescheduled, and since that is what takes care of my family, and pays all the bills (toys included), I had to cancel going to the shootout. It had nothing to with the event itself. I still greatly appreciate the fact that the NMCA, and GMPP, and other sponsors step up and provide a venue for us to run our cars. For me , its more about getting to see all the cool stuff you other guys, and the sponsors bring to the event.
That being said...I won't be bringing a nitrous car to participate in a class geared for and dominated by FI cars next year. Bet that can be read a bunch of ways :)

The problem is you make the rules have parity, 88mm turbo max; no turbo cars are going to show.

Would you be ok with some of the "b" class turbo guys geting in the class with you guys? I say keep the tire limit at 275 also and keep the turbos under 88mm(no thumper or any trick turbo setups)...and I believe it would be a hell of a class!!! I think the nitrous guys would actually dominate! Every car in that 275 class should be 9s or better(the top guys in the mid-low 8s). I want this to happen!!!
Then let the turbo outlaw drag radial class open it up and we get to see what they can do on a big tire and their "kill" setups. Nothing annoys me more than seeing lmr having a twin 88 setup on the car, but for a ls specific race, they have to back it down??!! Seems ass backwards!

I want it gm ls blocked, but could care less if it's a mustang, vega, or truck for that matter. Weight seems about right IMO, let he nitrous guys role at 3000?? Let's be realistic, there's an entire class of cars out there right now of guys why have the $$$ to build a 50k car and go 8.50-9.50, but it's just not possible to dip into the realm of where the current dr guys are.
At the same time we, as a ls community, are not representing the full potential of these motors by these goofy limits currently on dr class.
It's insane to have some seriously impressive turbo cars and nitrous cars staying at home due to the current setup. I extremly appreciate the NMCA picking up the LSx shootout 3 years ago. If they didn't we would have NOTHING right now, but I think it's time for GM high tech, GMPP, and someone(LS1tech and/or Planet LSX) pick this massive potential up and make this thing take off!!!

we had a local Nitrous 275 race and 26 cars showed(4 ls powered) and the top 8 were within .2 and the 16 car field was .5. I think we were racing for $500 winner and $250 2nd so it was not cash that brought them out.

et ls7 heads with ls7 intake but its on stock computer and i was going to turn it to 7400 but it went to lean. it not hurt bad just has a little blow by on one side.

Its probably hurt worse than you think.
Get a vaccum pump ASAP oil in the combustion chamber is VERY bad for a nitrous motor.
Where do you shift it on the motor? It should want 7500-8000 rpm.

Going past 6900rpm isnt safe but spraying a 250 shot is? :confused:
RPM is your friend helps get rid of cyl. pressure faster.

If you and your car aren't legal to run 9:99 or quicker - please don't bring your car to race at this SPECIAL event: Please come watch, support this once a year event.
The reason for doing this is: This is a GM Performance - lets see what the hell we can do event..........................
Did any of the JR Dragsters have GM engines? That's a friggen insult to race them at this event. And not allow NON GM bodies with GM engines vehicles run.
Make your rules so everyone wanting to - can race any 9:99 or quicker combination. And if the current LEADERS can't do that: Find a different group that will. The Nitrous car have waited TWO or more years to have the problems fixed that happened the FIRST year of this event.
You need a class for Paul Majors and the Big Boys he talks about racing against.. He drives a GM car
The Ohio Boys and others want to run big Turbo's - Great I've followed them all year.
Robin wants to run big shots of Nitrous on slicks - Great
You've spoiled this event trying to provide everyone a spot.
Everyone can run at any Test and tune. Everyone can run at 15 different Super Chevy shows - provided you're powered by GM. Everyone can't run at this event. LS powered cars are quick..............
Make this event special: Have the :sack: to make this event special.

Wayne you need to come out to the west coast..... our tracks blow out here as far as hooking up..... that's why drag radial classes aren't catching on.... I mean we got Bowman but he doesn't have to run at sacramento.... i wish we could get a 275 radial class going...
