I have a 2005 LS2 engine from a GTO and I'm ditching the DBW and going with a LS6 intake manifold and LS1 ECU from a 04 GTO I would also like to switch to the LS6 valley cover while I'm at it

So far I have the LS6 intake/TB/injecters/all sensors with aeromotive fuel rails, ECM, harness.

Is there anything else that I need? I keep reading about coolant passages and am wondering if I'm missing anything.

Thanks in advance.

coolant passages are for LS1->LS6. u already have that. and u should already have a ls2 valley cover which is at least as good as the LS2. ls6 valley will have knock sensor holes u won't use.

Changing the wiirng harness also? The LS6 throttle body and PCM will take a TPS and IAC sensors that a DBW car doesnt have.

Thanks guys!

Yeah I'm also changing the harness so I need to extend it for knock sensors and I also understand the cam sensor wires need to be reversed. The LS2 I have is 24x

Yes sir!

I have a brand new LS2 PCM, LS2 intake manifold and some other goodies. I need to get the engine from the donor car and then I'll start posting stuff up.

might I ask why you are doing this?

might I ask why you are doing this?

Several reasons... This is a swap, it's going in a RX-7 I bought the engine as a long block (with some extras) and it did not come with the DBW TB or the pedal assembly -found a great deal on the LS6 intake manifold completely loaded off of a GM crate engine NEW 0 miles... Needed to buy the PCM and harness anyway - so why not go cable TB?

Sounds like a great project Andrew!
Please post some pics as they become available and time allows you.
Somewhat like a start to finish idea.

Sweet man good luck with that. That car should rip! You should run a 90mm TB with that, should be worth a couple hp over the LS2 intake too.
