12 Second Club - my stock z28 ran a 12.9

pretty excited yesterday when i ran at leicester for the last time this year i was able to run a 12.929 and i was able to beat a modded 94 lt1 z28. he had cam full exhaust and built trannyand 3.73's and he ran a 12.982. might not be by much but a win is a win. jus feels better knowing i beat a modded car haha

So whats stock? I ask because normally people say, "My car ran blah blah completely stock" and then proceed to say their mods... is your car really stock? The way it came from factory? If so that's awesome!!

Has it been tuned? I ask because the shifts seem better than a stock f-body.. really I'm not calling BS or anything, just that all 3 of my stock A4's fell on their face way more than that on the shift before a converter and tune..

no not tune. absolutely nothing. and no shift kit. i have a b&m shift improver kit but i never got around to putting it in the car. my car is a b4c but it really doesnt have that big of an advantage over a reg z28. but you can tell my car was taken care of when the nys patrol had it. the car runs mint and doesnt slip at all all the shifts are perfect and firm as if it just came off the assembly line : ) love that damn car haha

I'll take a stab at it, I'd say low 11s to high 10s if its tuned and you have right suspension, just my 2cents keep us updated. I'm interested to know also.

way to many variables to say really...

good runs. should run like hell with those mods also dont think youll need the slp lts with a turbo but i may be off

This is the second case I've read in two weeks about those tires. Another member cut a 1.59 on those same tires. (heavily modded 10 sec car just playing around on street tires launching in 2nd however with a built auto) Those tires must be working on track day. Great times man, let that DA get on down and you might bust some 12.70s.

i gotta say they did really really well im def sticking with them, my launches were outstanding i would launch and the car would just go without a problem you can see it in the first vid i posted. when i had my good year eagles i could warm those things up and it would still spin off the line everytime.

That means im 100 pounds lighter than the T-Top guys?i guess. my buddy's car was exactly 100lbs lighter than mine. but he had the lame stereo, where i had the monsoon. i had the steel driveshaft and he had the al. t-tops vs hardtop. i had leather seats, he had cloth. i don't know what other differences would matter.

Very Nice !!! Nice 60 ft and great speed through the traps . You must have at least 3:23 gears to knock out 1/4 times like that stock . I wonder if it has a special "BC4 - police package " tune from the factory or something ? They had to at least remove the top speed limiter .

With the mod's I have I was running a 9.5xx in the 1/8, but I was spinning every gear on some bald bf goodrich tires. I now have riken raptors and haven't been back to the track to see if I could cut that time down.

unless the lt1 car needed a serious driver mod he must have spun bad. my car is cammed and full bolt on and i promise any stock ls1 car would see nothing but my tail lights the whole time. there HAS to be something done to your car. if you are full weight it would take close to 325 RWHP to put a 12.7 down. esp. on a stock car, and an a4 at that. your 60' is good tho, keep it up. just saying that there is something done to your car, you just dont know what it is, especially since you are trapping almost 110.
