I'm thinking of changing the color on my vert, Do you guys or ladies think it will hurt the value of the car in the long run? The vert might climb in value now that they will never make an other Trans Am. I think the WS6 car will end up being worth alot in the future. Just looking for your input.

A different color, YES, it will hurt the value. If you paint it the original color and have a quality job done, you won't hurt the re-sale value very much. However, the big thing now with collector cars or potential collector cars seems to be originality, right down to the paint. You don't describe what your car is like now but if you have high miles and it is no more than a #3 car, don't worry about it. It looks like it is customized already which is a negative for many collectors. Do what you want with it. It will take 25-30 years to get value out of a #3 convertible and only because of the ultra small numbers produced. Again, mileage is a factor too. If you have a serious #1 or #2 car, try not to paint it. It will definitely 'hold' value in the short term and go up as the years pass by.

^^^^^^^^^^ What he said. Don't change the color unless you really want another color and plan to keep the car forever.
