Drag Racing Results - ECS wins True Street at the LSX Shootout

Doug Ring, co-owner of ECS competed this weekend with his "street legal" C5 Vert in The True Street Class at the LSX Shootout. The True Street Class is a 30 mile police escorted cruise around the streets of Memphis followed by 3 1/4 mile runs. The rules are you cant add any fuel or change tires. He made 3 passes which were 8.86, 8.81 and a 9.05 for an average of 8.91 taking the win by about a half a second over the runner up car.

After that he let the car cool off a bit and clicked off an 8.63 for a new personal best.:nod: BTW...he was on DR's for the entire time.

Congrats to the ECS crew for putting together a sub-9 second "grocery getter.":thumb:

Car looked great, congrats to all involved.
Only problem with the convert was the artic temps in Memphis this year!!

We had a great time, won the event, and ran a new PB of 8.63 afterwards. Not a bad weekend! (but the drive... that's another story):chug:

This car was awesome the ease in which it went down the track. Also, the guy who was driving the car was very funny. He didn't know who the hell I was but took the time to share in my love for hotrods unlike the asshole w/ the 2010camaro that had his tires rotating in the wrong direction (pure genius) w the 468 Lsx in the true street class that broke on a pass.
