We took the win today. Jud went a 9.07@157 with the car making a hard right off the line to David Lazear's 9.49. We set a new record for all motor LSX in eliminations. Jud clicked off a 8.58 pass in the first round. And that's at a race weight of 3500lbs

Congrats to SAM on the win and a new record!

Also big props to Joe Honeycutt/LMR for saving a dangerous wheelie in rd 1. That could have ended a lot worse!!! Anyone know if he hurt the car at all when the car came down??

everyone does not weigh the same, you get weight breaks on engine size as well as tranny type.

Yea the all have different weights David with Gulf Coast Racing Engines had to Weigh 3300 with a auto, with a little 408. Not very much weight breaks i think that a manual tranny adds 50 as well, congrats to both.

There was some metal on the track, not sure what it was.

Yea, I saw that too. He was able to drive it off the track, so that was good. I know that had to be a serious "Butt-pucker" moment not only for Joe, but also the silver car!!! Gutsy driving by both guys!

No kidding, drove it off the track. I thought he might have broken the transmission.

I see.. that makes sense... that pretty strict regulation if they have to stay at 3500.. seem like they could lower all the weights some...
