I entered in the NMCA true strret cause I have a mustang/LSX combo and can not race in the LSX shoot out.
So it took me a while to slow it down from 10.20's to meet the 11.0 index. I unhooked two barrels on the carb pulled 3 deg of timing and foot braked it taking off in 2nd gear and shifting early at 6K. That run in time trials got me a 11.02.
My runs were 11.39 then a 11.08 leaving in first then a 10.71 leaving off the brake to make up some time. This is with just two barrels hooked up on the carb.
My average was 11.06. I didn't really think that would win it. But there were only about 10 cars in that index I think.
This was my first time ever running a true street event. I am stoked!!
