Hi
1.What are the maximum amount of power that our fuel pump can handle safely
2.Do I need to change the oil pump and the rocker arms If I pass 600RWHP

thanks

1. The rule of thumb is about 425-450 at the rear wheels with the stock pump. This is from folks that can run more power, have already upgraded to 60# injectors and just don't have the pump to support it. Most folks even have a boost-a-pump installed to get this working. There are one or two people on the forums (grrrr8.net; g8board.com, etc) that have experimental dual in-tank pump designs that support more power, but nothing that is in production yet.

2. Depends on what else you do. If you are already swapping out the drivetrain for stronger stuff (which you should at that power level) you might as well upgrade the rocker arms. Make sure you replace the timing chain while you are in there. No idea on the oil pump though. Haven't heard anyone needing to replace that or not.

Good luck. Sounds like a good project.

There is a holden ssv that is using a dual pump with custom fuel lines and is around the 700+ rwhp mark i believe.

Racetronix kit is good for 600rwhp...pretty easy to install on a fbody, but G8 i dont know!!
