Just got the engine tuned last night by Pat G, and actually made it all the way back to Houston without any carnage, no matter the size, ha! This is my first successful tear down/reassembly, so I was happy that nothing has broken thus far. Granted I did not get into the bottom end, but taking off and putting on new heads, cam, etc, was a learning experience for me.
The video below is the 1st 4th gear pass with the stock clutch overheating and slipping at 6000+ RPMs. The only way we reached peak without horrible slippage is a 3rd gear run.
This was performed on a Mustang Dyno down in Victoria TX with the following mods
MS4 on 111 installed straight up
STOCK 799 heads
PRC gold double springs
Comp Cams 7.400 PRs
LS7 Lifters
MLS 0.052 crushed GM head gaskets
ARP head bolts
New oil pressure switch, grrrr...
LS2 timing chaing
LS6 ported oil pump
stock pulleys
LS6 intake
Mac mid length headerss
O/R Y pipe
Borla CB uncorked
12 bolt with 3.42s w/ 17" Z06 wheels
stock tranny and slipping clutch
Home ported TB
MTI Lid
MSD wires
AND an oil leak
This is the Current Run

This is a comparison of last Saturdays run with Cam only

This is the video of the 1st 4th gear pass with the clutch slipping, bouncing off the rev-limiter, and flames shooting out the exhaust. Sorry it is sideways, I attempted to shoot it straight up, but Cycorder is weird...
